Happy ChristmaHanaKwanza everyone (And Saturnalia, for those who still celebrate)! My mom had me design this for our family's Christmas card this year. I drew it while watching Jack Frost (the one with puppets and groundhogs, not the snowman) on Sunday. Even though its not as fabulous as I would've liked, coloring it took me most of yesterday. Below is the newsletter to accompany it, narrated by my mother. Enjoy!

Merry Christmas 2007! We hope this letter finds you all in good spirits and enjoying the Holidays. Thought we’d fill you in on our past year’s adventures.
In February, [OrangeLemon, the girl with the sign] ran off to promote global warming and endorse the burning of fossil fuels. We have not seen her in months and last we heard, truth be told, she had “conveniently” swiped Al Gore’s Nobel Peace prize. [The boy with the Christmas light earring] has gotten heavily into tattoos and body piercing; has resisted all attempts to turn himself into a decent human being and in May was suspended indefinitely from school before nearly learning how to read. [The smiling girl], after her initial run-in with the law, has faithfully met with her parole officer; entered rehab and has attended almost every anger management class scheduled. We are so proud of her. Unfortunately, [My husband with the resume]’s and my lives have not been faring as well as the kids. After being caught with our hands in the basket at church this summer, the charges of grand theft were eventually dropped, but the legal fees sent us into bankruptcy. I became so depressed I jumped the fence to Mexico; waited tables at an Italian restaurant and started teaching English at the Escuela de Túnel. Just when I realized I shouldn’t run away from my problems I was deported back in time to learn that [my husband] was fired, couldn’t pay the bills, and had lost the house we didn’t even own. Soon thereafter, our dog Kori got involved with a Poodle from the wrong side of the Hudson and we are now responsible for 15 German Shepoodles. We have since gotten our feet back on the ground; bought an old school bus that we live and travel in so we can visit all of our family and friends now that we are homeless. EDIT: the lack of backround is due to the little snowflakes covering our body being erased holes instead of white dots, so if I did a backround they'd all be the color of the backround. The dogs that don't exist aren't colored in.
